6/1/2002 - The Wilmington Star News: Dr. Alan W. Brown Speaks At National Meeting

Refractive Surgery Specialist, Dr. Alan W. Brown, spoke recently at the American Society of Cataract and Refrative Surgery Symposium, an international meeting of eye surgeons in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. His three presentations highlighted innovations he has developed at Horizon Vision Research Institute, a division of Surgical Eye Care, P.A., where he performs eye surgery. Dr. Brown also served as a panelist at the meeting. His innovations include new instruments for LASEK surgery and new instruments for treating astigmatism. He also developed a new technique that allows patients who have had silicone oil, avoid unnecessary lens implant exchange. (Alan W. Brown, M.D. pictured to the left)
